Perspective 360 - Mystery Shopping in the Round

For us all to meet the challenges ahead we need a clear view of each business proposition that mystery shopping can address, and what perspective or dimension you can use to continue to grow your business.

It is often said that Mystery Shopping answers many key business questions for clients and can be a dynamic and interactive partner with other tools and initiatives clients use. Each dimension is essential for an effective organisation and we will explore how Mystery Shopping can help clients measure, understand and deliver the following:

  • Products – are they available, promoted, are the frontline knowledgeable?
  • Premises – are they clean, comfortable, appealing, safe, secure?
  • People – Do they have the awareness, ability, skills, attitude and knowledge to deliver?
  • Position – do you know where your clients stand in their market and where to improve?

Each of these dimensions will be explored at our conference, together with the connection Mystery Shopping has with other associated services that you can explore…

  • Products – Frontline Training and Knowledge
  • Premises – Merchandising, Security and Loss Prevention
  • People – Employee Coaching, Recognition and Engagement
  • Position – Market Evaluation and Customer Experience (CX)

These and many other perspectives will be developed to help you grow…

"Benchmarking and Competitive Research – Similarities, Differences and Pitfalls"

Juliana Goranova

"Benchmarking and Competitive Research – Similarities, Differences and Pitfalls"

The session will show some of the main aspects of the mystery checks for competitors and what should be considered when preparing such a programme.

Many companies who implement mystery shopping projects for their network, also want to compare the quality of their services against that of the competition in order to gain a better perspective where they are in the whole picture. Benchmarking could be very useful but should be carefully considered in terms of methodology and evaluation criteria.  Using specific criteria to assess competitors or choosing a disproportionate sample of checks could disguise the real picture.

Competitive research using mystery shopping is a wonderful instrument to stay up to date with the market but it has its issues – the focus on a specific product and the client profile are just a couple of the details to be considered.

The Change Mindset

Cyriel Kortleven

The Change Mindset

Survival kit for professionals in change.

In times of disruptive change, we all need to be professionals with an agile mindset. Every day, we are confronted with new challenges:global competition; demanding clients; new technologies; ...

We need to be people who dare to leave their comfort zone and suspend their judgement.
We need to be people who explore the world from a different perspective and can turn problems into opportunities.
We need people who get into action and who aren’t scared to fail fast, often and move forward by experimenting.

Discover how the Change Mindset can be a survival kit for professionals in change.

YES ... you need to suspend your judgement to break fixed thinking patterns.
AND … explore the world from a different perspective to generate new ideas.
ACT … on it because the key to real innovation is experimenting and being prepared to fail fast, often and learn to move forward.

In this interactive and entertaining presentation, you will get the spark, tools and language to influence others to be more creative & entrepreneurial and give a big boost to your own Change Mindset.

"The Culture Map: Decoding how people think, lead and get things done across cultures" (Break-out session)

Joelle Makdessi

The Culture Map: Decoding how people think, lead and get things done across cultures

Several books have shaped the way she views the world and has become a true believer of the sentence “Knowledge is Power, Don’t Hoard it”.
In this spirit, Joelle shares extracts from  “The Culture Map” by Erin Meyer. A unique perspective in the exploration of how different cultures view business interactions – and how these influence dealings with clients, partners, and colleagues locally and internationally.

The book, written by Erin Meyer an intercultural consultant, introduces a new method in understanding how people from a different culture than our own behave and interact in the business surrounding. This will help everyone improve on their relationships with the people who are from a different culture than theirs. This is especially important in the Mystery Shopping world as we operate globally with culturally different companies and partners, culturally different shoppers, and culturally different clients.
