This privacy policy covers the website treatment of personally identifiable information collected by MSPA Europe. All data treatment is the responsibility of MSPA Europe/Africa, a company registered at The Netherlands – PO Box  82276 – 2508 The Hague, VAT number NL8199.83.974.B01.

This online privacy policy applies only to information collected through our website and not to information collected offline.

What is Personal Data?

For the purposes of our policy, we use the following definition:

"Personal Identifiable Information" is any information that can be used to uniquely identify, contact, or locate a single person or that can be used with other sources to identify an individual. This includes but is not limited to: name, address, phone number, email address, race, nationality, ethnicity, origin, religious or political beliefs, age, gender, family status, etc.

We are committed to protecting the privacy of all personal data you provide us for the purpose of applying for MSPA Europe/Africa membership, e-learning courses or attending one of the MSPA events.

What is it used for?

MSPA Europe/Africa collects and processes personal data of members and customers. MSPA Europe/Africa is committed to adhering to GDPR regulations in this regard.

MSPA Europe/Africa respects the personal data of members and customers and does not sell, rent, loan, trade or otherwise transfer any personal data to any third party unless this is necessary to deliver MSPA Europe/Africa’s products and services.

MSPA Europe/Africa does not request personal data from you, other than: to process a transaction or application for MSPA Europe/Africa membership and/or company listing in the MSPA Europe/Africa Directory, a registration for an MSPA Europe/Africa event and/or e-learning program, subscribe to our newsletter, respond to a survey or for analytical research. If you have authorized MSPA Europe/Africa to store and/or use credit card details provided by you via WorldPay or Buckaroo  this information will be stored in a PCI DSS-certified e-payment solution (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard), hosted by a 3rd party. PCI is the global security standard established by the international credit card organization. Maximum data security and protection from non-payments is guaranteed through encryption of the data.

When ordering or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your: name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number and company related information. You may, however, visit our site anonymously.

Where required, this information may include your personal contact information and/or your company contact information. MSPA Europe/Africa will use this information to reply to your inquiries, to provide you with requested products and services, to set up your member's account, and to contact you regarding new products, services, news or events.

MSPA Europe/Africa will also use your personal data to inform you about activities, products and services of MSPA Europe/Africa and relevant third parties, unless you have notified MSPA Europe/Africa that you do not to wish to receive such information.

The following statements describe what MSPA is doing with your data, how long we store it and more so you are fully informed prior to your consent.

When your company is accepted as a MSPA member your company contact details including telephone number and email address provided will be included to:

  • Members database & search tool on the MSPA Europe/Africa website
  • Administration system MSPA Europe/Africa
  • Contact detail list of MSPA Europe/Africa used to send member information by post or email  (certificates, brochures, official letters, etc)
  • Members mailing list MSPA Europe/Africa - specific member information only send to MSPA members concerning voting procedures, association news, application acceptance procedure, etc)

If your MSPA membership is cancelled or withdrawn, your data will be removed from the above systems within 90 days; this includes financial & legal information as required by law.

When you register for one of the MSPA events, your first & last name, company contact details including telephone number and email address provided will be included to:

  • The events management software EventsAir; your details are collected in a separate database only used for the event you are registering for. During your registration you will be asked per event for consensus to register, use your email address to send you event specific details and to Opt-in or Opt-out on mobile AP guest lists.
  • Your email address will be included to the news mailing list of MSPA Europe/Africa.

After the event your details will be kept for 12 months after the event; this includes financial & legal information as required by law.

Your email address will be used after acceptance of your MSPA membership for:

  • News mailing list MSPA Europe/Africa - general news emails from the association
  • Association related email messages

An email address you provide during your application, newsletter entry or via the contact form may be used to send you information and updates pertaining to your order, in addition to receiving occasional company news, updates, related product or service information, etc. Note: If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, we include detailed unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

MSPA Europe/Africa will only share your personal information with a third party if you expressly ask to receive information from them. Credit card details will never be shared with any third party. Please note that to stop receiving information from a third party, you will need to contact them directly.

MSPA Europe/Africa may otherwise disclose your personal information when:

  • We have your express consent to share the information for a specified purpose;
  • We need to respond to subpoenas, court orders or such other legal process, including taxes.
  • We need to protect the personal safety of the users of our websites or defend the rights or property of MSPA Europe/Africa;

We find that your actions on our websites violate the MSPA Europe/Africa of use document or any of our usage guidelines for specific products or services.

The use of e-mail

MSPA Europe/Africa will only use the e-mail address of member and customers, outside the scope of membership or a transaction, where a member and/or customer has given opt-in. MSPA Europe/Africa will always provide you in every email, where relevant, with an unsubscribe link.

Receiving information by email, means that you receive the latest information and updates that can have an effect on your day-by-day operation.

The Directory of MSPA Europe/Africa Members

The MSPA Europe/Africa Directory of Members may not be used for mailings, electronic or otherwise for direct marketing purposes. Unsolicited commercial email for sales or promotional purposes is spam and is illegal in many countries. MSPA Europe/Africa recognises the importance of data privacy regulations and reminds members that they are responsible for any misuse of the Directory within their organisation or by third parties contracted to provide their organisation with services.

MSPA Europe/Africa Members should not send unsolicited email to other members unless it is for a specific purpose relating to that member, e.g. to ask for a bid for a project.

MSPA Europe/Africa reserves the right to withdraw membership services from those who misuse the MSPA Europe/Africa Directory. MSPA Europe/Africa reserves also the right of seed-addresses to monitor the use of the MSPA Europe/Africa Directory in accordance with this policy.

Collection and Use of Non-Personal Information

MSPA Europe/Africa automatically receives and records non-personal information on our server logs from your browser including your IP address, cookie information and the page you requested. MSPA Europe/Africa may use this information to customize the advertising and content you see and to fulfil your requests for certain products and services. However, MSPA Europe/Africa does not connect this non-personal data to any personal information collected from you.

MSPA Europe/Africa uses cookies to help the server identify you when you log in to secure areas of the site, such as the secure Member Area of MSPA Europe/Africa, Directory of Research Organisations. How do we protect your information?

Your information is protected for your privacy and security. In certain areas of our websites, as identified on the site, MSPA Europe/Africa uses industry-standard SSL-encryption to protect data transmissions. We also safeguard your personal information from unauthorized access, through access control procedures, network firewalls and physical security measures.

All supplied sensitive information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. Credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology via the company WorldPay and Bucakroo and encrypted into their Database to be only accessed by those authorized with special access rights to the systems, and are required to keep the information confidential.

Further, MSPA Europe retains your personal information only as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes identified above or as required by law.

CAN-SPAM

Extracting or harvesting email addresses for the purpose of unsolicited email marketing from any page from mspa-ea.org, mspa-eu.org or any other subdomain of MSPA Europe/Africa is forbidden.
